The mission of the Thanksgiving Fund is to empower people and organizations to act with integrity to achieve sustainable and creative changes impacting the quality of our shared lives. The fund makes grants that address the root causes of social and environmental issues, and enables individuals and communities to express and celebrate their full creative potential.
Method of Application
PLEASE NOTE – Currently we are not accepting unsolicited letters of inquiry or grant applications.
Materials must be submitted electronically.
If you are applying for renewed funding, please use the streamlined Application for Renewed Funding and the Grant Application Cover Sheet.
If your organization has received funding from us for the last three consecutive years or more, we will consider a request for multi year funding.
The Advisors of the Thanksgiving Fund review requests and reports quarterly, and in most cases make determinations regarding applications and reports at that time.
A grant period begins on the date posted on the grant check and ends one year from that date.
We require that grantees report to us between 11 and 13 months of receiving a grant check. Failure to submit a grant report on time can jeopardize any consideration of future funding from the Thanksgiving Fund.
If you are interested in applying for further funding, we strongly encourage you to submit your application for renewed funding at the same time as your report.
